Royal Garden Museum · UNESCO World Heritage
The Summer Palace was first built in 1750, originally named Qingyi Garden. It is the best-preserved imperial garden and palace, known as the "Royal Garden Museum." Based on Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, it was modeled after Hangzhou's West Lake and incorporates Jiangnan garden design techniques.
In 1998, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is a national AAAAA tourist attraction.
